If you watched Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw and thought Idris Elba’s character Brixton Lore’s self-balancing motorbike is the coolest thing in that movie, we’re happy to inform you that ‘the thing is real.’

Speaking to Digital Spy about the ‘high-tech’ bike, Mr Elba said “most of the bike stuff was real."

But we’re not talking about fictitious stuff enhanced by CGI. If you wished there was a real-life superbike that could execute the kind of tricks Brixton’s bike pulled off in that movie, look to Honda for your salvation

Honda, the Japanese automaker known for its innovative and cutting-edge technology, recently unveiled a new self-balancing concept that could revolutionize the way we think about electric motorcycles.

The concept, known as the Honda Self-Balancing Motorcycle, is designed to provide a smooth and easy ride, even for those who are new to motorcycles. It’s just that in the process of executing these noble goals, we end up with a seriously smart bike that can follow you around and stand still without falling over with you sitting on it.

The Honda Self-Balancing Motorcycle is based on the company's Riding Assist technology, which was first introduced in 2017.

This technology uses sensors and computer algorithms to keep the motorcycle upright, even at low speeds. The system is designed to make it easier for riders to balance the bike, especially when starting or stopping.

The concept vehicle features a sleek and futuristic design, with a low-slung seat and a narrow front end. The motorcycle is powered by an electric motor, which provides quiet and efficient propulsion.

The battery is mounted low in the chassis, which helps to improve stability and handling. We note that the movie bike was custom-made by Eteon for Brixton Lore, not by Honda.

One of the key features of the Honda Self-Balancing Motorcycle is its ability to adapt to different riding styles.

The Riding Assist technology can adjust the motorcycle's angle and balance based on the rider's input, making it easier to maneuver and control. This means that even novice riders can enjoy the thrill of riding a motorcycle without the fear of losing balance or control.

Another advantage of the Honda Self-Balancing Motorcycle is its low maintenance requirements. With fewer moving parts than traditional motorcycles, electric vehicles require less maintenance and are less prone to mechanical issues.

This means owners can enjoy more time on the road and less time in the shop. While the Honda Self-Balancing Motorcycle is still a concept vehicle, many industry experts believe it could represent the future of electric motorcycles.

With its advanced technology, sleek design, and ease of use, it could appeal to a wide range of riders, from beginners to experienced enthusiasts.

Honda has not yet announced any plans to bring the Self-Balancing Motorcycle to market, but the concept has generated a lot of interest and excitement among motorcycle enthusiasts and industry insiders.

If the concept vehicle does make it to production, it could be a game-changer for the motorcycle industry and a major step forward for electric vehicles as a whole.
